A snowy winter wedding at The Monastery Event Center
I don’t think I can accurately describe how happy I am that 2021 wedding season has begun. Getting my hands dirty with flowers, seeing vendor friends again, meeting my sweet couples (in person!), and getting to celebrate the most special of moments feels incredible. Especially after the last year.
My 2021 wedding season kicked off in February at one of my favorite venues in Cincinnati, The Monastery Event Center. Perfect for a winter wedding (or really any season), I love working with the incredible team at The Monastery and being able to design flowers in such an incredible space. This is the kind of venue where you can do a million things, and the natural beauty of the room continues to shine through, or you really don’t have to do much at all.
For Marissa and Peter’s winter wedding, we worked with rich reds, light blushes, and pinks and pops of white to work with the season. Marissa wanted to incorporate a lot of dimension into the bouquets, so I loved pulling in bits of blackberry, silver brunia, and amaranthus for some textural touches. The anemones were the perfect fun punch to the designs.
I loved all the details - from the fur stoles, to the grey silk ribbon, and the perfectly coordinated bridesmaids bouquets, this was a great wedding to kick of 2021.
Megan Noll photographed all the details perfectly.
