Coleen and Kris' Luxe Summer Wedding
Coleen and Kris' wedding last August was the perfect mix of romance, luxury, and fun. I had such a great time planning the florals along with Heidi from 44th and Luxe Events (that's a little nod to her in the blog title ;)). Coleen and Kris' ceremony was held at Alms Park in Columbia Tusculum and the reception was at The Renaissance Hotel downtown.
I really loved designing for this wedding because there were so many fun elements. From aisle petals to hanging flower balls, this wedding had it all. I also really enjoyed being able to design in several locations. The ceremony was held at Alms Park along with a cocktail hour and then the reception was at The Renaissance Hotel.
For florals, we went with lush white, ivory and blush blooms. Lots of roses - garden, standard, and spray along with big, happy hydrangeas. For interest, we added curly willow to some of the pieces. I loved how timeless everything looked.
And seriously, it's hard for anything to not look amazing when the couple is as good looking as Coleen and Kris.
In addition to wedding florals, I designed a couple arrangements for Coleen's home earlier in the week. Coleen wanted fresh flowers the week of the wedding to welcome all of her out of town guests. Where the wedding florals were classic white and blush, the flowers for her home were bright and bold tropicals! I loved the idea of using florals as a welcome piece throughout the week.
These two were a dream couple - fun, in love and open to creative designs!
